About the Author
A leading expert in project management, Dr. Paul Sanghera is a scientist, engineer, teacher, manager, and an author. He has worked on wide range of project in various project management application areas from projects at high tech companies in silicon valley such one at Netscape to develop the first commercial web browser to projects at colossal particle accelerators and detectors at Cornell and CERN (European Organization for Nuclear Research) to unlock the mysteries of the universe. Paul has an interdisciplinary background with Ph.D. in Physics from Carleton University, Canada; Master of Engineering in Computer Science from Cornell University, U.S.A; MS in Biomolecular Engineering and Bioinformatics from UCSC, Santa Cruz, U.S.A., and B.Sc. with triple major: physics, chemistry, and math from India. Content expertise and experience in several project management application areas provide him with a broader and deeper grasp of the project management field. He has years of diverse hands-on project management experience both in academic research labs from Cornell to CERN and in the high-tech computer industry from Novell to Netscape to MP3. Overall, having worked in various roles including project manager, director of project management, director of software development, software developer, teacher and trainer, and scientist, Paul has developed a broad and deep comprehension the global principles of project management applicable to all application areas.
