“What sets this book apart is its tailored hands-on approach to learning. Designed for progressive designers, the future pioneers of the media industry, the book offers step-by-step tutorials, practical exercises, and real-world applications, supported by numerous illustrations and examples, catering to learners at different levels.
This guide also addresses the interdisciplinary needs of modern media professionals by demonstrating how InDesign interacts with other tools in the Adobe Creative Suite. Such knowledge is crucial for creating seamless designs that can adapt from print to diverse digital formats and platforms. This blending of skills will help future designers plan and create work that is not only visually stunning but also strategically optimized for various platforms.
[…] For educators, students, and budding designers, this book is an essential addition to your toolkit as you journey through the exciting landscape of modern media and integration with diverse platforms.”
Don Ryun Chang, Adjunct Professor, Yonsei University Underwood International Songdo Campus
“As a visual communicator, Adobe InDesign software has been my companion and an indispensable tool throughout my career. However, when I began my design education and career in my home country of Ghana, I had to learn this software through experimentation. If a resource like Adobe InDesign Masterclass by Mohammed Jogie had been available back then, it would have significantly eased my learning process.”
Felix Ofori Dartey, President of Pan Afrikan Design Institute (PADI)
“I discovered the potential of Indesign with this book. […] I like the rhythm with which the features are presented and the choice of artworks. If a book like this had existed when I started working with Indesign, my learning process would have been much easier.
I’ve always ‘got by’ with Indesign, but this masterclass made me a lot more efficient and allowed me to see all the things you can do with this software. I particularly enjoyed chapter 6, which helped me understand RGB and CMYK colors, and chapter 12, which helped me improve my speed.”
Christelle Richard, Mixed-Media Illustrator, Graphic designer, Adobe Community Expert, Maia Studio Graphique
“The book is a great practical guide to InDesign that goes beyond the basics, seamlessly integrating into a broader design workflow. One of the standout features is its inclusion of advanced InDesign tools and interactive elements, such as complex typography techniques and the ability to link external data from Microsoft Word or Excel. It’s a must-have for anyone serious about mastering InDesign.”
Dr Marcel Maré, Strategic Designer and Postgraduate Lecturer in Strategic Design, Vega School of Communication
“Adobe InDesign Masterclass is a project-based book that is great for learning the basics of InDesign and for quickly taking your skills to the next level. The author, Mohammed Jogie, is a master at explaining even the most complex features in an easy-to-understand manner. And he sprinkles in lots of tips, tricks, and secrets throughout the book that will have you working like a top pro in no time.”
