Book Description
Review
Just downloaded Matt Forrest book on Spatial SQL. I’m looking forward to setting up the PostGIS instance and learning how to build spatial sql queries in PostgreSQL. I’ve been working with SpatialSQL in MSSQL for years but realize that the functionality is far more extensive in PostGIS than what Microsoft offers with it’s geometry and geography datatypes. So far I’m impressed and if you’re looking to get to a more open source gis implementation I recommend you learn all you can on spatial SQL.
