Book Description

Mathematical problem-solving develops effectively when learning is engaging, contextual, and meaningful. Across different life stages, playful and experiential learning experiences foster curiosity, creativity, and confidence in mathematical challenges beyond traditional classroom settings. Non-formal learning environments offer flexible opportunities for learners from early childhood through adulthood to strengthen reasoning, adaptability, and critical thinking. By integrating play as a pedagogical strategy, mathematics learning can become more inclusive and accessible, supporting cognitive development and practical problem-solving skills throughout the lifespan. Play-Based Learning for Mathematics Problem-Solving Across Lifespan Education: A Non-Formal Approach from Early Childhood to Adulthood explores the role of play-based activities in non-formal education. It presents a framework that integrates interactive and experiential learning strategies to foster engagement, retention, and skill development among the various educational levels. This book covers topics such as economic development, instructional design, and student engagement, and is a useful resource for educators, academicians, researchers, and scientists.
