Jordan Morrow, the godfather of data literacy, did it again! With Data and AI Skillshe tackles one of the most burning questions of our time: what is the role of human beings in an age of AI-driven hyper-automation and -acceleration? Morrow’sanswer is the elegantly simple yet powerful formula: Data + AI + IQ + EQ = Engineered Intelligence, and it works perfectly.
As someone who is deeply passionate about the human side of data and AI, I really appreciated how the entire second part is dedicated to human factors. With topics including emotional intelligence, language, change management, leadership and mindset, Morrowdoesn’t just hit all the right notes – he weaves them into a beautiful harmony of knowledge nuggets and actionable insights. This is a book everyone who works with data and AI needs to read. And let’s be honest – that’s probably all of us.

Through his words, you feel as though he is speaking directly to you. He is generous with his knowledge, genuinely curious about the experiences of others, and deeply invested in elevating the field as a whole. You will not regret reading this book. “Jordan Morrowis truly the Godfather of Data Literacy. The world needs to better understand the importance of data and its accuracy. Leaders need to understand that in order to get accurate data they need to empower their people to understand why they are creating data all day, every day. Morrowunderstands this and writes passionately about the subject in ways that non-technical folks can understand. With data in the modern world comes the inevitability of AI. AI isn’t going to cure the world’s ills overnight but it isn’t going away either, so we need to learn how to best utilize the power of AI for good. If you want to talk about data and AI, talk to Jordan Morrow.” ― Steve Taylor, Strategic Data Lead – Data, Digital & Technology, National Fire Chiefs Council, UK
